Secucloud’s management team consists of experienced experts with a proven track record in the IT security and telecommunications industry
Dennis Monner is a technology entrepreneur, as well as being a former founder and longstanding CEO of gateprotect AG, an IT security manufacturer which was acquired in 2014 by Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity. Under his direction the company was able to outperform 500 international competitors and is considered today to be among the top 10 in the industry, ranking in the Magic Quadrant by the Gartner consulting firm. Dennis Monner founded Secucloud in 2013 and heads it as CEO.
In his last position Mark Rees was director of E-POST Development GmbH in Berlin, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post. There, he led an international team comprised of several hundred employees in agile DevOps development teams, and was responsible for employee direction, as well as the entire budget in the areas of IT security, DevOps, quality assurance, operations and user experience. In his work as COO at Secucloud, Rees applies his expertise in agile leadership and his many years of experience in interdisciplinary IT organizations in the Media and IT security industries.
Renzo Pecoraro was formerly executive director at Morgan Stanley, New York. In this capacity, he was also head of the central software development team responsible for creating internal systems in the departments of IT change/release management, reporting, control and compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). After working in the USA for 20 years, he last worked as technical product manager in the areas of data security, rights administration and access/identity management. Since August 2016, Pecoraro has been applying his more than 10 years’ experience in the management of international software development teams in his capacity as technical director of Secucloud’s own development team.
Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker is Chairman of the Advisory Council at Roland Berger and holds a seat of the Supervisory Boards of several companies. He studied Mathematics and Business Administration, joined Roland Berger in 1989 and served as CEO and Chairman of the strategy consultancy until 2015.
He teaches strategic management at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL), where he is also Academic Co-Director of HHL’s Center for Scenario Planning. He is a member of the University Council at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Kühne Logistics University.
Executive Board Member at Sonae Investment Management, heading the investment activities in the Telecom technology and Cybersecurity, and Board Member at portfolio companies including Wedo Technologies, S21sec, Saphety, Bizdirect, Artic Wolf Networks and Secucloud.
With over 20 years of experience in the Technology, Media and Telecoms sector, leaded numerous strategic projects in telecoms as well as several M&A transactions under several jurisdictions, including the merger between Optimus and ZON, a cable-mobile consolidation play that originated NOS.
Carlos Moreira da Silva is Investment Director at SonaeIM, specially focused on the cybersecurity and telecom technology areas.
During his 15+ years of experience, he was CFO of S21sec, a leading European MSSP, and held roles in the areas of M&A, Strategic Planning & Operational Transformation on the technology and telecommunications sectors.
Before joining Sonae in 2011, Carlos worked at Accenture and Abengoa Group in Madrid. Carlos holds an MBA and a Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Porto University.
Jenny Marschner is CEO of ANGELGATE AG, a leading investment club for UHNWIs in DACH region.
Since mid-2013, she managed to built-up the platform with more than 70 best in class business angels and family offices and structured over 25 venture capital deals investing more than EUR 50 Million.
Since 2003 Alfred is member of the Group Executive Board and Global Head of Sales of 360T Group, one of the best known FinTech-companies in Germany, today part of Deutsche Börse Group. Starting his banking career in the early 1980s, he spent a total of 18 years in Investment Banking at UBS and several years as Global Head for FX at Commerzbank and COO at Commerzbank’s centralized portfolio management and research unit. Alfred is active as business angel for more than a decade and a private equitiy investor.
