PROXY AUTO CONFIGURATION (PAC)*
Proxy Auto Configuration (PAC) is a configuration file with text to instruct browsers forwarding the traffic to a proxy server instead of the real destination. These “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” configuration files consists of JavaScript with multiple settings:
Proxy Server
Time when the proxy should be used
Days a week when the proxy should be used
Whitelists domain, for which the proxy should never be used
All widespread browsers support Proxy Auto Configuration. Only the path to the PAC file need to be specified and the browser will fetch and executes the JavaScript. “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” hosts default PAC files, but customers can customize their own files.
In the graphic the browser is configured with the path to the “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” PAC file. When the browser gets opened, it will ask the “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” Server for the PAC file. Geo-location on the users IP will tell the “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” server which proxy is the nearest to the location and the corresponding PAC file will be send to the browser. The browser will use this proxy as primary proxy to send all traffic to.
Because the browser itself will forward the traffic to the “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” proxy it doesn’t matter what network it is in (also private IP network with Internet access are fully supported).

Secucloud links superior machine learning technology with the multi source input network to continuously improve the Global Cloud Intelligence and to rapidly classify domains, URLs, IPs and files with great coverage, accuracy and speed.
Another technique to ensure continuous tracking and unique accuracy is to determine via proprietary AI algorithms how deeply a given site should be scanned. For example, site dynamics and typical user interactions with a given site are factors in these algorithms. Secuclouds’ contextual analysis determines in which case to deeply scan sites, using different methods:
